Good interior design begins with understanding how a home needs to work. We consider circulation, proportion, storage, natural and artificial light, and the relationship between spaces alongside the character of the existing building.

Rumi's Japanese background brings an appreciation for efficiency, balance and thoughtful use of space. These principles influence the way we approach a project rather than defining a particular aesthetic. What our interior design service includes

Every project is different, so our service is tailored to the scope of the property and the level of support required. We can develop the interior from the early planning stages through to detailed design and implementation.

This can include space planning, kitchens and bathrooms, bespoke joinery, lighting and electrical plans, material and finish specifications, flooring, furniture and furnishings. Where required, we can also assist with procurement, liaise with contractors and suppliers, and provide ongoing design support during construction.

Renovations & Extensions

For renovation and extension projects, we work alongside architects, contractors and the wider project team to ensure the architecture and interiors are considered together from an early stage.

From rethinking layouts and circulation to kitchens, lighting, joinery and finishes, our aim is to create a coherent interior that feels naturally connected to both the existing building and any new architecture.
